There are about 7 billion around the world, and their number grows every day
Wireless communication has had a great impact on our lifestyle
Pr Olle Johansson : “For me, it’s like a worldwide experiment”
Are the waves of our cell phones dangerous for us and for our children?
Scientists around the world are trying to answer this question
There are 2 ways of thinking: those who oppose modern technology, and those who defend it
Pr Dominique Belpomme : “There are very few independent scientists nowadays, that is to say people that have a message corresponding to the scientific reality that they can show in their experiments.”
Experienced researchers must decide: is wireless communication safe or are electro-magnetic fields dangerous for our health?
In France, Medicine is one step ahead: experienced doctors are convinced that eletro-magnetic fields can make you sick, and even represent a danger for the whole population.
Professor Dominique Belpomme, from the Alleray-Labrousse clinic has followed more than one thousand two hundred patients, all presenting the same symptoms.
Pr Dominique Belpomme : “I think there is a link between exposure to electro-magnetic fields and the appearance of clinical symptoms associated with electro-hyper-sensitivity.”
This renown oncologist compares this disease to an allergy: affected people would react considerably to electro-magnetic fields.
Before establishing a diagnosis, the professor carries out a complete clinical check-up, with urine and blood tests, and a transcranial Doppler.
Pr Dominique Belpomme : “We have objective tests that show that the blood flow in the brain is reduced and in the patients’ blood we find real biological anomalies that show us that these people are truly sick.
And these biological anomalies are exactly the same as the ones we observe in laboratory animals when they are exposed to electro-magnetic fields.
Which means that, for people, we find the same pathologies as the ones we observe when we carry out experiments on animals.”
Professor Belpomme is fighting for this disease to be officially recognized, because if it doesn’t receive enough oxygen, the brain is at risk.
So many of his patients wear a head scarf made of metallic fibres supposed to protect them against electro-magnetic waves.
Pr Dominique Belpomme : ‘The major element that these patients have is that they have cognitive troubles. They have a lack of concentration and attention, and they have lost part of their short-term memory. And when these cognitive problems are serious, it may correspond to a pre-Alzheimer state, or even the beginning of a true Alzheimer’s disease.”
